Automatic Vertical Foam Cutting Machine Workflow 

1. Preparation: Place a large sponge on the workbench, with one side against the retaining plate and the other against the push plate.

2. Setting: Enter the slice thickness and number of slices on the touchscreen.

3. Start: Press the start button.

4. Cutting: The cutting motor activates, and the blade rotates at high speed. The blade carriage drives the blade through a single cut, severing the frontmost sponge.

5. Feed: The servo motor drives the ball screw, which enables the push plate to precisely advance the remaining sponge by the thickness of a slice.

6. Loop: Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the desired number of slices is completed, automatically stopping.

Automatic Vertical Foam Cutting Machine  Control System

This is the "brains" of the machine, responsible for setting parameters and controlling the entire cutting process.

· Control Cabinet (Electrical Control Box): Contains electrical components such as a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), a frequency converter (for controlling the cutting motor), servo drives, circuit breakers, and contactors.
· Human-Machine Interface (HMI): Typically a touchscreen, allowing the operator to easily set:
· Slice thickness
· Number of slices
· Cutting speed (the speed at which the blade moves up and down)
· Start/Stop/Emergency Stop commands.
· Thickness Adjustment Mechanism: Once set by the control system, this is automatically executed by a servo motor and ball screw, achieving high-precision feed. On older mechanically controlled machines, this may be a handwheel and a graduated scale.
