190m length Latex Pillow Production line 

 Injection Molding
· The expanded latex foam is metered into the prepared pillow mold through a pipe and injection gun.
· The mold will not be completely filled because the foam will expand to a certain extent when heated.

Stage 3: Vulcanization and Setting

1. Vulcanization (Heat Curing)
· The mold filled with latex foam is placed in a vulcanization oven or vulcanizing chamber.
· It is heated at a specific temperature (e.g., 110°C - 130°C) for a period of time (e.g., 20-30 minutes).
· During this process, the vulcanizing agent undergoes a chemical reaction, transforming the latex from a viscous liquid into a permanently elastic solid, permanently fixing the foam's structure. This is known as "setting."

Stage 4: Post-Processing and Processing

1. Demolding
· After exiting the vulcanizing chamber, the mold is cooled (either with water or air). Workers remove the formed latex pillow from the mold by hand or with tools. At this point, it's still a complete "pillow embryo."
2. Washing (Water Washing)
The latex pillow is repeatedly rinsed in a large industrial water washing machine.
Purpose: To remove residual chemical additives, soap, and mold release agents from the surface, ensuring a pure, odor-free product. This process also makes the pillow cleaner and more environmentally friendly.
3. Dehydration and Drying
Dehydration: A centrifuge is used to remove the bulk of the water from the latex pillow.
Drying: The latex pillow is placed in a large dryer, where it is thoroughly dried using circulating hot air. Controlling the temperature and time is crucial to ensure thorough drying without damaging the latex structure due to excessive temperatures.

Stage 5: Quality Inspection and Packaging

1. Quality Inspection
Visual Inspection: Check for defects, bubbles, contamination, tears, etc.
Dimensional and weight inspection: Ensure compliance with specifications.
Feel and odor inspection: Ensure proper elasticity and the absence of unusual odors. Some products undergo random destructive testing to check density and durability.
2. Trimming and Packaging
· Trim away the filling port and rough edges.
· Upon request, some pillows are enclosed in a liner bag.
· Finally, a vacuum compression packaging machine vacuums and compresses the latex pillow, significantly reducing its volume before packaging it into a cardboard box. This significantly reduces shipping costs and is the reason why the pillows arrive flat when consumers receive them.
