Injection Molding
· Foamed latex is injected into the massive mold through large pipes and injection ports. The injection process must be fast and even to ensure the foam flows evenly into every corner of the mold, avoiding underfill and uneven density. 3. Vulcanization (Heat Curing)
· The filled mold is fed into a large vulcanization tunnel or multi-layer hot press.
· Key Challenge: Uniform Heating. Due to the thickness and large surface area of ​​the mattress, ensuring uniform temperature from the surface layer to the core is crucial. Incomplete vulcanization can lead to internal decomposition, shortening the mattress's lifespan; localized overheating can cause burning. Therefore, the vulcanization equipment requires extremely precise temperature control.
· Vulcanization takes longer than for pillows.

Stage 3: Post-Processing - The Challenge

1. Demolding
· This is an extremely physically demanding step. The finished latex mattress can weigh tens of kilograms, requiring multiple workers to collaborate and remove it from the mold using tools such as suction cups. This process requires extreme care to prevent tearing.
2. Washing and Dehydration
· Significant Challenge: The mattress is so large that it cannot be directly placed into a standard industrial washing machine. Solutions:

Option A (Large Sink): Manual scrubbing and spraying in a large sink, or using a specialized, large-scale washing machine.

Option B (Inline Spraying): Mattresses are repeatedly rinsed on a conveyor belt through a multi-directional, powerful spray system.

Dehydration: A specialized, large-scale roller-type dehydrator or centrifuge is used to extract the bulk of the water from the mattress in stages and sections.

3. Drying

This is one of the most time-consuming steps in the production process. The cleaned, wet mattress is fed into a specialized, large tunnel dryer or drying room.

The dryer's powerful hot air circulation system ensures that every part of the mattress, especially the center, is thoroughly dried.

Time Required: Depending on the thickness, drying a single mattress can take several hours or even more than ten. Humidity and temperature must be precisely controlled to prevent internal mold or surface cracking.
